at Rambutan Cottages & ask about one of their 3 villa's.They have a special honeymoon suite which is lovely. The other 2 villas are bigger. The staff are helpful & friendly. These villas are still within the hotel grounds so you still acess the pool, bar, restuarant etc.You can see pictures on their web pages.I think the Kalbukbuk area of Lovina is the best because you are close to the shops & restaurants.
If you want a lovely Thai meal when in Lovina make sure you go to Jasmine Kitchen,it's in the little side alley that runs off the street where the dolphin statue is.Make sure you leave room for sweets !
Another great local place is the " Ponjok Indah " owned by Fritz & Ceria- it's up in the hills behind Kalibukbuk. The area is called Kayuputih & it's on the road up to the Damai hotel. You need to book because they are not open every night.Get there before sunset because the views are great.Only food on menu is 1st grade steaks or fish for vegetarians.Served with never ending supply of salad & hot chips.
They will provide transport each way if you ask. After dinner you are invited to go down to their winery across the road & taste the 12 different wines they make from local fruit. You can buy wine while eating or later in the winery if you wish for only 80,000 a bottle. It's a fun night,a guitar is bought out & a bit of a sing song is usual.I always ask at Rambutan for the phone number because it is only listed under Fritz & Ceria's name ,not the name of the restaurant or winery.
