I've been sending & receiving messages almost daily from Aussie friends who are there on holidays as well as from local friends.
As stated maybe they don't have enough credit or is there any possibility that your memory is full & you can't receieve them ?

I know in the past if I get lazy & don't delete my messages from my in & out box ( & it gets full ) that I can't receive any more messages until I erase some messages from my phone.
