Not sure how they watch your card but they do...my parents used their card for a few thousand dollars in October to buy time-share and the bank froze the card, the fraud squad called their mobile and asked if they were actually in Bali. On checking when we returned the bank said was because of large amount, foreign country and that you are suppose to inform them if using overseas. Maybe that helps justify the high interest eh.. caused a bit of hassle at the time but they were thankful the bank were even aware of what was happening.
