on subject of restaurants, try Gekko Blue Cafe, Istana Kuta Galleria which is on Jl. Patih Jelantik, Central parking and same site as Ace Hardware, about 10,000rph from Kuta Square by taxi. I have worked gratis for last 12 months there, helping balinese owner. It is all Bali staff, balinese building, fittings etc and open three sides. They have had to close from 5 p.m. because of lack of business, but open from 9.30 a.m. I really want to keep helping them, the food is excellent, balinese chef, will cook anything, varied menu and aussie kids will always find something they like there. Ask for Eta or Puta ad tell them Anna sent you. By the way, if anyone would like to come and join me for a drink or coffee, Ill be there from 17th January on, if Im not there, they will get me in in 5 minutes! I was thinking about perhaps helping them out by having an Australia Day get together there on 26th, they will open at night for 25 or more buffet style and throw in a band, anyone interested?
