I know what you mean. Bali was also so safe then, I remember my girlfriend and I walking back to Segara Village from No 1 nightclub at some ungodly hour along the road and not thinking twice about it. When I am in Bali now , admittedly I am on my own,I don't go out after dark. Mind you I don't do that in Perth either. My last time was 1993 at the Dynasty then went back in 2004 and the difference then, I couldn't believe it. Where was the 'bush?' In 1982 the only thing around what is now Kuta Square was the Art market at the end of a rough road. Those were the days.
