I had to cancel a trip early this year and we basically lost about $500 (for us this was about 35-40%) per person, we were able to claim this back on travel insurance.
For you and anyone else thinking of cancelling, I flew to Bali the day after the last bomb and I wasn't worried at all because I wasn't staying in Kuta. I love Kuta, the shopping and cheap food but I certainly felt extremely safe in a slightly more isolated location. We met several families who had moved to our resort because they felt safer away from Kuta.
It might be a bit of a pain to travel into Kuta in the daytime but maybe moving hotels to somewhere a bit quieter...Just a suggestion.
