The radicals are fundamentalists don't believe in booze, loud pop music and most of the things that bring tourists to Bali,.... they resent the fact the Balinese can make a very good living out of thing the nutters believe are immoral...
That and the fact that while Bali is a part of Indonesia the Balinese are not Muslim but Hindu...
Killing non Muslims and the destruction of the tourist economy of the Hindu Balinese, would be a very good reason don't you think?
