Stayed at Coconuts 5 years ago, not really very good value for a family. You would need 2 rooms as the rooms only have a queen and a double and it would not be big enough for older children. At about 70US$ per night per room you can stay a week in some of the other places on Lembongan.
You asked about seaweed smell, the only smell around coconuts is out the front of the resort and it smells like sewerage.
As mentioned Villa Wayan is OK, Ware Ware next door is fine and along the bay there are many places.
Coconuts does have a pool but the ocean is beautiful. Best snorkelling is at nusa Penida, enjoy, Lembongan is great.
