This is where you have to be very careful when quoting numbers. The actual article where these figures were obtainedhas other little bits with it as well. Among them is the leading comment pertaining to the overall arrival of vistors which raises the possibility that the existing tourist number crisis "is deepening". They also state that the drop in numbers, when compared to the previous year and month was Oct 2005 down 36.83% and Nov down 43.26%. So, in fact, things in some areas, could be a lot worse than suggested.
I also feel that we have to be very careful when assessing the actual level of security in Bali based on personal perceptions of how safe you may, or may not have felt. I suggest that all of the victims of the previous bombings felt perfectly safe and at ease right up to the time of actual detonation. And yes, other countries , the US and UK, do have travel advisories issued with respect to travel to Indonesia.
