Cabes, I have read the previous posts, and agree with some points. Firstly, yes most people on this forum would go to Bali come hell or high water, and we are definitely not the people to ask an opinion of!!

I don't subscribe to the "when your time is up" - "could just as easily be hit by a car" etc etc mentality. You don't go and play on the freeway knowing that you will only be hit if "your time is up".
In my opinion you have to take care of yourselves and those you love to the very best of your ability. You also have a responsibility to your extended friends and family not to cause them undue concerns. Whilst I was in Bali recently my pattern of behaviour was changed, I was aware and cautious and, no I did not feel safe at times. TV was showing pictures of diagrams showing bomb range/direction etc etc so that individuals could be targeted by suicide bombers/murderers, walking on the street/beach. There was a lot of talk about Xmas and New Year and I have heard reports that Christian churches are going to be protected by Moslems.
I was to go in January with my daughter and have decided not to go, but my husband & myself will still go as arranged later in the year without her. My love for Bali outweighs my fears for myself, yet not for my daughter. I'm sure I will get flamed for this, but that is how we feel. Our familys understand and do not worry (Baliphobes themselves).
You must do what you are comfortable with, be as well informed as you can and make a decision that you can live with. There are a lot of people living with "if onlys". I personally don't think that Inna would be more a target than anywhere else.
Whatever you decide, have a lovely Xmas and keep safe.
