Ultimately it is up to you.
We took our 5 year old 3 weeks after the last bomb - our thoughts were that a bomb has just gone off, surely it would not happen again so soon.
I did however get the feeling from locals that they thought there was more to come. Some thought places like Discovery Mall and Waterbom Park could be a prime location for such as the Westerners flock there. - I hope not, we visited these two spots regularly on our vacation.
Personally now, I'd avaiod Bali for the mean time, especially with the new warnings out. They didn't highten the warnings after the last bomb but are now - so one can only assume that in their opinion is based on trustworthy information.
It's a very hard choice to make also due to the money issue. Some people say "but what price do you put on your life" but thats hard to evaluate when you've been saving for 6 months and looking forward to a holiday for such a long time - to just through it all away. I know - cause that was a huge factor in our minds when considering to go or not to. We went. We stayed at the Intercontinental at Jimbaran Bay - We felt safe but now with hightened warnings I'd be really thinking about it more seriously.
Up to you but..............and also, you could be killed in a car tomorrow on Sydney's roads! Who knows what lie ahead.
What ever your decission - We all wish you and everyone else every safety in Bali and in Australia.
