We were there for the first time about a month ago. The flight there and back were pretty empty, I think everyone got a row of seats to lie down on the plane.
As I never been there before, can't compare what it would had been nice, but went to plenty of resturants where we have been advised to make booking, only arrived to find the place with only a few tables occupied, very noticable at Ubud, went to Murnis, Indus, Dirty Duck for dinner, all very empty. It saden me to drive down the main stretch of Ubud with all the shops and resturants open without customers.
However Kuta and Seminyak seems reasonable busy in comparison with Ubud.
I can only hope that things had gotten better since we came back.
