It's dry season and best season to surf. There'll be a lot of surfers.

Coconuts is good. I reckon a bit pricey for what it is though. It has the trimmings and overlooks the seaweed farms and surf. There's no smell at all. Any of the places by Coconuts are good. Plush compared to the lower priced places but the staff at any of them are super friendly.

It's heaven, very quiet. No traffic, hawkers, touristy shops. It's a place to go if you love the water and love peace. The people are funny and friendly, more like a buddy than in Bali IMHO.

There are good places to eat along the track where Coconuts is and the view is stunning at all times of the day. For cheaper places (also where more people hang out) go further along the beach.

To get there, I actually enjoyed the Perama boat more than the fancy boats you see moored at the pontoons.
