We have had some great times in the wet in Bali. It usually only comes and goes. Once in many years we had 4 wet days in a row. We've shopped in the rain, swam in the rain, drank bintang in the rain and sheltered here and there and bought watches in the rain, while sheltering and buying watches we've had some great chats with locals sheltering under the same whatever.
