Flight ticket : from Europe to Bali

Hello all,
We are planning a trip to Bali next August. When I look at prices now, I don't find anything under a 1000 euro. Who can give me some hints for finding cheaper tickets ?
As Belgians, we could leave from Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris or Frankfurt...
