the guy we got in customs said thank you to us for bringing stuff for the birthing centre. Even had a suit case full of drugs that I was trying to declare to him but once I kinda explained to him that they were donations he didn't even want to look at what they were or check them out... just said.. So yeah- depends on who you get.
Most of the clothes for Acheh probably got left behind because, as I understand it, the room on the planes was better used for essentials like food, water, medicne and medical supplies.
