That's right, we're actually here, after one disaster after another. It's been very interesting so far. There are a zillion security guards EVERYWHERE. Personally I feel safe, but I always have here. People seem to be sure that there'll be no more bombings.. The streets are not too bad during the day, but amazingly quiet at night. We walked down Poppies 1 last night, & got a table at Bamboo Corner at about 7.30 last night, with no problems. Anyone who eats there will know how strange that is!
Went to S&S & met Smudge. Strange how we never seem to match the pictures in our mind, isn't it? We've been able to give him a large heaps of stuff for his project village, but unfortunatley wont be here when he goes up, otherwise it'd be a bagus opportunity!
The feeling of being so welcomed back when we arrived is overwhelming for us. I'm a sook, so me being almost in tears is no big deal, but it even affected the grumpy old bugger who insists on travelling with me! ( the better 1/2!) I sent several international SMS, some have got through, others vanished (dunno why). We brought 2 cheapie phones, got SIM cards, thanks Dennis, it's been wonderul. I guess that's all folks! Seeya!
