Know where you are coming from. The reality is - it is a risk! Bali isn't safe but many still choose to go there. Everyone has to make and live with their decision. We went back twice after the initial bombing despite losing our friend and her 13 yr old daughter at the Sari Club. We've watched the tables we sat at at Raja's being blown up constantly on TV 12 weeks after we sat there sometimes twice a day. Many say it's not safe here - true, but we haven't been bombed like Bali has. Plus the chances of interception of plots here are higher than in Bali. Then there are the road stats, we don't know anyone who has been killed on the roads but we do know two people who have been blown up in Bali. I guess it depends on your reality. We cancelled our booked Bali holiday with sad hearts but no regrets. We have a wonderful life and a son who needs his Mum and Dad even though he is now an adult. I am very glad that we have had many trips to Bali in the past and will always wish for things to become peaceful there again ... until then we are not willing to take the risk. I have often said that I do not wear rose coloured glasses and have been on this forum since it's beginning, so I for one would not dream of slamming you. Good on you for having having the courage to speak up on this forum! If anyone wishes to slam - they're gonna have to aim at both of us.
