I always stay at the Legian Village Hotel in Jl Padma and have been since it was the Pension Joni in the mid 70's.
the staff are wonderful, the rooms comfortable, it is quite cheap, has a good restaurant and bar, nice pool and is a lovely place to stay.
it is close to everthing and has a salon and spa, a mini market, internet cafe etc etc.
lots of people with young kids stay there so your daughter would be amused.
it is budget but is lovely.
it is Balinese owned and operated and some of the staff have been there for over 30 years.
