ok after 10 gr8 days in Bali I have loads to tell you all as normal for me it was far from a reast but you will figger that out as you read & befor i start i will worn you I may be the worst speller on the net ...ok hear gos
Day 1 early start for me as i have to fly from chch new zealand to auckland to catch the Garuda flight . all my flights where good , but very empty sad for Bali I thought , we stoped at Brissy to pick up A few more travelers then of again . I slept most of the way as normal , I think I must have Bali blood cos I can sleep any where just like them
We arived at at 9pm Bali time stright through no other flights first stop the loo to many bintangs on flight
now to the visa stand FIRST problem they don't take New Zealand cash
o well I have rp sing Kan kan ha next stamping man SECOND problem silly girl only charged me for 5 days not 10 so of to little office he say" why you only pay for 5 days " I say "I didn't your staff do wrong" so he took more cash & re did
ya out to get bags now & out of there
A that Bali smell ... My friend Made (Kirsty to me ) was waiting with my new sim card & cuddles as it has been a long time between trips
My Driver also waiting to go of to Ubud for first few days of trip , nice guy air con van & cold aqua
The Trip to Ubud was long aster the flight & as dark by now carn't see much , An hour later we arrived at the hotel

I found this place on the net owned by A Kiwi couple & it's of the track a little so very nice
taken to my room it was lovley high sealings , air con , & a beautiful bathroom with a garden in it , & most of all very clean
my only grips no music of any kind
DAY 2 I wake early about 7 am Bali time had a long shower then of for brecky (included in price)when i opened my curtons & saw the view wow is all I can say hear
brecky you have a choise of three for free or you can buy a dearer one i stuck to bali bannana pancakes & fruit salad yum served with fresh juice & Bali coffee .
After brecky Kirsty came arround & of we whent down to Legian to start my ordering ( I am an importer of cloths & jewlery )first stop Melasti markets to see my faverate stall he buys the bali lace tops for me gr8 price to
cought up with Marcia from BIG OZ next we have been mates for about 2 years now next stop my tailer WINDA on jl Padma Utara not far from Bali coffee shop that Tracy of the forum ownes
took in some material that i hade with me & a sample of another style I wanted ... an hour later all sorted 50 tops for my shop 1 top for me & 2 pairs of trousers for me .
starving by now so stopped for a bite to eat I had garlic squid but a bit tuff
up to Bintang supermarket next to get parcel post price its $16 nz a kg for 5kg or more so cheeper than exess
while there looked at the new bead shops there are 3 all up right near each other selling pearls , semi preshious stones ect good range but to ex for me & not big on giving business price
of to Denpasar now to buy lace for my tailer
we got the lace , some beads , size lables ect from this shop all at business price name SATRIA jl Gajah Mada no 134 Denpasar also sell all your seed beads ect hear
next stop Marko to buy supplys to take to the Salvos got lollies , chippies you know the normal kids junk food also buying rice ect for the practical side of things & my 243 smokes a yes how i miss them when i run out back hear
of to see my Dewi now she is 7 years old & at the salvos in Denpasar she comes running up to see me knowing I bair gifts ... she had so may thing to try on she didn't know where to start but ha i have 3 buys It's nice to spoil a wee girl for a change . I also bought her a baby dall which the sargent told me she not put down
Back to the tailer now to drop of the lace
stoped for food again then back to hotel nackered , so early night
DAY 3
up early again it rained all night & still going strong o well its just waterso of for my brecky yem same as yesterday as so good
today I was of on the village walk wich is free at the hotel if you stay 3 or more nights
first stop the village temple where all is explained about the religion , the hows & the whys very interesting , we wandered down a lane next & sore the guys wood carving , they should me the trees that they use & why & all about the replanting ect .
of down the lane a little further to the grave yard & explainde about how long they keep & about the cremations later ect .
all the way we are walking he shows me diffrent plants & what they are yoused for medical ect
next stop the rice terraces seeing the duckys do there bit watching the farmers re plant meeting the kids on the way ( of course i had a bag of chubber chubs )
after the rice fields we get back to the village where we stop to roast coffee at the first house
then to a house making the beautifel photo books out of recycled paped & dryed leavs
then to an artists place where he shows there style of painting
you can join in & have a go of any of these things so if you want to learn Bali painting stay for the rest of the day & do
me to much shopping to do so say good buy & walk back to hotel to meet Kirsty
we head of for the village of Tegallalang wich is just up the rd this is where they make xmas decorations so nice & so cheep I bought a small xmas tree for 10 000 rp in gold & white with gold stars that hang down
the tree decorations are even cheeper 2500 rp each & very quite
we headed to Ubud markets just for a look see think its to dear there my self but had a wander around very quiet
so we decided to go for lunch now I had Nasi Goring yum yum not bad price 15000 at GAYATRI CAFE
of to silver whole sale place now ok this one is my trade secret so carn't tell you all
I get all my own desighns made hear & it's all ways good & all ways cheep ... but to day there was a VERY LOUD AMERICAN lady there making them all run after her poor buggers they keep coming to me say i sorry jill
so I decided to go for a walk for a hour & look arround we came back & she was still there but had quietened down
so did my order left some paua to be made up checked out my desighns from last trip & all is good
so of we go again sukawati markets this time but getting late & starting to close got some bargins though
back to hotel for dinner a bintang & back for early night
DAY 4
another early day & it rained again last night but to day im of on the bike tour so had brecky filled my bag with chubber chubs & of i go there was only me & 2 germans so quite nice
we headed to the volcaino for coffee & pancakes we had a good stop there so I got out my water coulars & did a painting of it came out ok to
then back in the van to go to bbc banna bamboo & coconut LOL
it was ok but a bit comercial guss safer than being in the jungle but so hum ho
but the coffee was good ( toilet hear only a squat one but does have paper)
back in van to starting point on bikes ya we are of
all down hill & a little slow for my liking as where i live in NZ its extreem mt biking we do
first stop ladys doing bamboo stripping to weave
second stop a temple with hudge tree they getting ready for ceramony
third stop a youg boy Katuk doing carving he was doing the out side frame of a door at the age of 10
fourth stop the rice field where the woman where harvesting so we wandered down to have a go what a lough they didn't want us to stop
then one of the woman grabed my bum and said something and they all laugh
well i got the gist so grabed hers back as she no small lady eather
she said my bum give the bike flat tyers LOL
of again a but of uphill now only a bit though past the river where a man was rounding up the duckys so sweet ha
next stop lunch BAGUS so much & yum my faverate was the Tempie a veg dish all washed down with a bintang & a 234 after
we then drove to the monky forrest to go see the monkeys then back to hotel
need less to say i had early night again
ok my hand heart now so ill do some more later
