The entrance to Rama Gardens is pretty much directly on the street. You walk through reception, down a small pathway and then enter the pool area with the hotel rooms around the pool.
Some of the rooms back onto Garlic Lane so there can be some noise from nearby hotels/bars, but I found if I shut the bathroom door it was quite OK. The hotel has a nice friendly feel to it as it is quite small.
