it sounds like your mobile phone is locked and with out the code you wont be able to use it...sorry dont know if anyone out there can be of assistance. Can you contact someone back home to contact Optus and double check. You will need to give them your IMIE number.
I think that number is printed inside your mobile. Take your battery out and write it down.
Was your phone originally a prepaid?
