we were there a week prior to the bombing, when the bombs went off and also stayed a week after the latest bombings. The security was excellent and was stepped up immediately from the night of the bombing. No cars are permitted at all past the driveway boom gate you must walk from there or u can get in the hotels shuttle bus from the driveway gate to take u up to reception entrance. At night there are more security guards placed there than in the day, they also check bags at boom gate with metal detector. We felt very safe with their measures of security. Also gate that leads to beach is locked from about 7pm.
