Occy, we just got back from 10 days at BGH. Took the kids (ages 9 and 13) and had adjoining rooms on the ground floor. I would recommend the deluxe rooms (a little bit dearer but worth it as you face the garden/pool instead of the main road) and are only 20 metres from the pool area. We had rooms 173 & 174 and I also think that rooms 171 & 172 as well as 175 & 176 are adjoining (they have a map on their website of the grounds and rooms). We were very happy and thought the hotel was good value for money - I have stayed at plusher hotels but at the end of the day - for how much time we spent in our room I thought it was just right. It was clean and the daily room service was good. The hotel was not overly busy but there were still plenty of people and kids in the pool all the time. Breakfasts are great and the grounds are lovely. All in all - very happy - would certainly stay there again and it was quite a bit cheaper than the Dynasty (which is much more upmarket) so had more money for shopping and Bintangs!
