Easiest way is to set up a hotmail or yahoo account which can be accessed at any internet place.
Go to www.yahoo.com or www.hotmail.com & follow the instructions for a free account.
Once she has one you can email each other or "chat" more directly using either msn (hotmail) or yahoo messenger (yahoo)
