I learned Indonesian by going to the villages in Java because very few people in the villages speak English and you have to learn Indonesian to speak with them it may seem a hard way to do it but you do learn. Then I telephone the Indonesain Consul in Melbourne and asked if they could give me the address of any Indonesian people who live near me and they give me the address of a very nice Indonesian family in Hampton Park (Vic) who also helped me speak Indonesian
