One phrase I found paricularly helpful when I couldn't be bothered with people hasseling to buy was Tee Duck Terri Markasee, Singla Piss which in Australian means politely " no thankyou, I have no money left " It seemed to amuse them that I had learnt enough to be polite enough to say. To this day, it still amuses my friend that I remember it. We went a couple of years ago.
