I could understand if it is someone that just shows up at the airport having overstayed, but my visa doesn't expire until October 28th. You're telling me that if I go down to immigration today, October 24th and tell them that I originally planned to stay for only 5 days, but talked some friends into changing their plans to come to Bali and now want to stay 10 days they are going to try and charge us $300 (my self and my wife, $100 per day combined X 3 days)?
If so I'll tell them to shove it and take my tourist dollars to Thailand.
This isn't someone trying to take advantage of the system or push the Visa limits, this is a tourist that wants to stay 10 days instead of 5, not 70 days instead of 60, and I am showing up to ask 2 days into my freaking trip.
