I have eaten at Denpasar moon since the change of ownership and the food is no longer indonesian - it is more chinese and malay and not very nice at that. Nona Manis have offered us a sort of sectioned off function room for the night and they have agreed to look at their buffet prices and maybe provide something around $25 for 3 courses of authentic Indo food. The food here is nice for an Aussie restaurant and the owner is Indonesian unlike alot of other indo restaurants.
I would be hesitant about Northbridge as the parking is few and far between and as hubby may have to babysit that night I wouldn't feel safe driving or cabbing in and out of Northbridge alone. We do go there to the pubs etc in groups and by cab only but even then I am a bit hesitant and as my 18yo cousin will be with me I worry that 2 young females alone is a bit of a target. (I am a bit of a wimp by myself)
In saying that if holding it in Northbridge is going to bring out more people then I can be brave it (I will hide behind Colleen)
I will call some of the other Indo restaurants (Thanks Tuberose) and see what they can offer and will post results tomorrow.
