We play cards, or read books, or do a crossword.
We travel in a group of 4, and for a few weeks before we leave I collect every crossword puzzle page out of the paper, or from magazines, and put them in a folder. If we don't use them, they go into the hotel library for others to do. We always pack a couple of decks of cards and travelling Scrabble. Those miniature games from the $2 shops are very useful. We also take those cheap and nasty rain ponchos (also from the $2 shops), so we can still get from point A to point B without drowning.
