I have traditional Balinese wedding clothes from when we were married in a traditional ceremony waaay back in 1983. We bought them in Denpassar. Reluctant to lend them, of course, especially since the gold coloured patterns on them rub off. All I can suggest is that you call the Indonesian Consulate here in Perth, or Balinese restaurants - Djimbaran Bali in Myaree might know (9371-8288). There's another Balinese Restaurant in North Perth - can't recall the name, tho, sorry - quite newish. If I think of it I'll let you know. If you don't want the clothes in a hurry, try calling/emailing the Aussie Consulate in Bali for the address/es of shops that sell trad clothes. Or, of course, ask forumites to look around on their wanderings around Bali and especially ask the locals. We got our clothes from a shop in Denpassar near the Mega Art Shop. BTW with our wedding clothes, one size fits all, all wind around stuff, so no need for sizing. Oh the memories of my Balinese helpers trying to get the top wound around my unBalinese boobs - and they still kept falling out!!
