My friend and I were also caught earlier this year when we tried to purchase ferry tickets to lombok.Under duress we had to get overpriced tickets as no-one would advise us where the locals purchased their tickets and of course we were told we had to be quick as the ferry was about to leave and it was the last one for the day..
