I can completely relate to the blisters whilst wearing thongs! I gave up after a couple of days wearing thongs and wore my heels for the remainder of the holiday! Needless to say, I got a few rather strange looks from tourists and Balinese alike! I think they were more or less amazed at how I could manage to walk on the streets of Kuta in 3 inch heels! It's a talent I think all us women possess!
