I'm afraid that I was under the impression that if an airline changed your travel arrangements they provided the accomodation if you had to be away for longer than originally booked. I'm not particuarly bothered that I have to pay for the extra night's accommodation.. I've always been envious when others I know have had something like this happen to them when they have been on holidays, and this time it's me!! yipeee!!!! andddd I'll get two more nights in the best place in the world!!!! Mind you, it's only ok because it is Bali, and the cost is minimal, $40 each for our extra night and then two more days of eating and drinking (and I may well be forced into more shopping) .. and yes I might be tempted to have a few (more)yummy cocktails .. and because I don't have a time restriction to work within.
Air Paradise and all the airlines are obviously feeling the pinch big time because of the refunds they have given so it makes sense to combine half empty flights into one or more to help to compensate a little. Mind you, those that chose not to go got full refunds, but those of us that didn't consider not going for a moment are required to pay more than we planned to help decrease the loss. (Little as it may be.)
