Thanks for all the info... i have to express my ignorance on all things gun - related.
Our kids have never been allowed to play with any toy guns (alas, they still grab sticks and branches and pretend; but I suppose, so did we many years ago!), and after learning about BB guns, they won't be getting them, either.
The 'friend' in question is my wife's work colleague, so we don't really know her all that well, and now we won't be bringing her back any, either!
My wife says our kids MAY be allowed water pistols (or super squirters, or whatever they have there) to squirt each other around the pool, but that would be about the limit of it.
And unless they ask, we won't offer, either!
Yes, we respect the rights of others to enjoy the pool without being blasted by reckless kids, so that won't be happening either.
Lots of other fun to be had.
