Day 8
We all get up early as we want to do so much in the little time that we have left. The boys get on the shuttle to head to Kesumasari Beach for a massage and a jet ski. We head to Hardy's to collect bracelets that we ordered a couple of days earlier. Colin and I get a bemo to hardy's for 5,000. We race into Hardy's and come out to get into the Hardy's shuttle to the Beach. As the boys come in on the orginal Paradise Plaza shuttle. We wave them down and they get in with us to much laughter the poor driver was thinking what the????? As we walk out from the cafe to see the girls at the beach they are all very busy. Which is great to see. The German tourists tha I had been trying to talk to around the pool had all headed down to get a massage and a manicure. Colin and I get our massage and the boys head out on the jet ski's for half and hour. Mr 15 has never been on one before so is cautious to start with. As his mother I am trying to enjoy my massage but also keep an eye on him. As I had read on the forum of a couple of accidents with jet ski's. He was getting a little sure of himself so I decided maybe it was better to not watch any more as I couldnt enjoy my massage. When they come back in they are like 2 little kids giggling and squealing "did you see this and did you see that?" It was so funny. The beach ladies were also laughing at them.
We all head off with many big hugs and kisses to the ladies. We tell them we will be back in July and they shed a tear of gratitude.
We get the shuttle back to the hotel and all shower and change and head in to Kuta. This time Colin gets us to Kuta for 35000 much to the drivers disgust. But like Colin said you can say no.
We go to pick up Mr 15's Holden shirt and I collect bracelets that I ordered the day before. We buy a barong painting for 80000 in a frame its fantastic and will sit perfectly above our bar. After an hour everyone decides they need a drink. We cross the road to Stadium cafe and realise that it is 2pm already so maybe we should eat as well. We are security checked to enter the cafe.
We have a superb lunch, a little more expensive than what we have paid whilst in Sanur, but it was nice. We order steak, salad and an assorted seafood tasting platter. The tasting platter was really nice with chicken wings that were just sooooo hot with chilli. But we still ate them.
It's nearly 3pm by the time we decide to walk out of there and BV has his eye on a coin in a frame that matches one that he bought earlier in our trip so heads into the shop to get it.
We get a driver to take us to Bali Hai hotel to take a quick peak as this may be an alternative for the wedding next July. After looking at it we decide no matter what the cost we will make it work for the Sheraton Laguna in Nusa Dua. The driver then takes us to the one shop that I have been dying to get to all holiday. ANIMALE factory outlet. Yay!!! I say to the boys I wont be long. ha ha ha!!! They all sit outside as I wonder around not really seeing anything that I like. Colin comes in and finds a nice top but the matching skirt looks like a potatoe sack. I am soo disappointed that I cant find anything. Then the lady asks if I would like to try on a little knit top its lovely. OOOHHH yeah I am back in heaven 6 tops later and a pair of linen shorts. The lady finds a gorgeous pair of Black pants. As we go to pay for these items I spot an awesome outfit in leopard print. I try it on and fall in love with it. Its a skirt and top for evening wear. Colin finds another top and matching skirt in navy blue with lace. Ok no more I say the suitcase wont shut. We go to pay and I nearly fall over the whole lot for only $92. I am so pleased with my self. Until I walk out and realise that I have been in there for over an hour. OOOps! sorry guys. The driver heads back to Sanur for the hotel. We give him a 20000 tip and ask him to come back to take us to the airport the next day for 50000. I apologise for taking so long in Animale and he laughs at me.
We get a message from the aussie girl telling me that my glasses arrived at her hotel already. Yay I get to take them home instead of having to get her to bring them back for me.
We headed back to Corridor for dinner to meet Julie and another lady from her hotel. Jack has set us up on a large table so that we can all fit. We have a great night and no-one wants to leave. Jack charges us happy hour prices for our drinks as he knows it is our last night. He says he will be sad to see us go. Around 10.30 we head over the Retro bar for our last night cap. The bar man is in a good mood so is playing games and mucking around with the boys. We all head in around 12.

Day 9
The day to go home. We slowly get out of bed no one is in a hurry for breakfast. We start to pack the suitcases, and then head back to Corridor for our last breakfast in Bali for another 9 months. We see Julie and eat with her and agree to do a dinner when we are all home in Perth. We say good bye to the staff and head back into finish packing. I have so wanted to get some round bolster cushions but havent been able to find any that I like, so Colin and I head back to Tootsies to see what they have. She only has 2 at 30,000 ea. Next door at Jeny's we get another 2 for 35000ea. As we walk out of there we are not harrassed by any of the stall holders as I ask you have bontal bundar??? Most say no. 1 lady send us through to Bali Oding its on the Jl Danau Tamblingan. We get more cushion covers and a great mosquito net that hangs over the bed. The ladies want a large amount and we empty out our bum bags of everything that we have. I tell them that I need 50 000 for the trip to the airport. So put that back in my bumbag. The total amount we have is 168000 we have selected 4 large bolster cushions 2 small ones and the mosquito net which is supposed to be 200,000 on its own. I tell them we have come from tootsies and that we only paid 25000 for the other cushions that we have already. The girl reluctantly drops her price to 250000. Colin takes out some cushion covers. AArgh no I wont those. the lady laughs. I tell her we will just take the cushion covers instead and get the mosquito net next time. The girl looks at me and Colin takes the last 50 000 that is supposed to be getting us to the airport. And tells her that is it we have no more. So for 218000 we walk out with it all and me carrying on about us having to Jalan to to the Airport. We walk up the street and get a taxi for 5000 that we have scrapped together to get back to the hotel oh man time has got away from us and we are locked out of our room. We run back to reception to get access and a quick shower. Mr 15 and BV are all packed up and waiting in reception. We call for a porter to collect the bags after a quick shower and trying to stuff the rest of our recent goodies into our suitcases. I ask the porter to sit on the bag and he looks horrified at me. I sit and Colin zips it up. The porter loads the bags and a man is checking out the minibar to make sure we havent used anything. I am loading up a bag full of open choccies and excess alcohol and old shoes and all sorts of stuff into a bag. I drop it off at the pool hut with Widi. We have a big hug and we swap email addresses. His wife is due to have a baby in December and I want to know all about it. I have to give him a letter saying that we have given him all these goodies so that he doesnt get into trouble with the hotel for stealing. As we drive off with Made the driver everyone sits feeling very flat and so not wanting to go home. BV has to pay for the car trip as we are out except for our departure tax. Its now 3.30 and the flight leaves at 6. We go to check in and the lady wont let us take on our hand luggage. I am so not impressed. All we have is our passports and bumbags. The lady removes everything from us. When we get through the customs etc... most other passengers have hand luggage larger than ours. 1 lady has 4 bags. GGGRRRRRRRR considering our hand luggage weighed in at 7.5kg at the most. The others where 7kg or just over.
Oh well lets just get home. Where is the bar.............

Well we are home and back at work and school. We only have just under 9 months till the wedding. Numbers have dropped dramatically due to the bombs. We now have only 10 people going where as before Oct 1 we had 40+
We will count down the days til our return to the beautiful people of bali and to the warm balmy nights and the great food.
