the RACV offer an overseas policy that has very good coverage, but don't know much about how efficient their claims process is. Apparently it is very typical for travel insurance to exclude things that are pre-existing like the teeth example you gave. So I guess the best thing would be to compare the exclusions. Don't rely on your travel agents recommendation though, as they tend to only sell the product that their company has links with
