The room shown on their website (http://www.indo.com/hotels/shanti_village/ )
is a standard room as the windows have glass, not dark shutters and the door has a handle and key, not the twin carved doors with padlock thru rings.
As you walk down to the beach, the standard rooms are on the left and deluxe on the right (Or that is how we found it).
When we stayed in the standard rooms we were put in the upstairs rooms, but found that our balconies were interconnecting and for something different we gazed at the vegetation canopies so watched the birds and bugs on the palm tops. It was lovely and we felt the Sanur breeze. We are not usually fans of upstairs rooms. I think all rooms on the left ground floor and level one are standard.
4 stars it is not, but fine standard at 3ish.
