I was prepared to travel to Bali regardless of the warnings, because it is a relaxing and fun place to holiday. Although I left a number of hrs prior to the last bombing, I felt sure something would happen. So I was careful whilst there, but was never really concerned. The Balinese are friendly, helpful and often thanked us for being there. It was so good to see the modernisation along with the traditional way of life. I just hope the Balinese win the battle over those few who would seek to destroy them.
So, if you are prepared to go, be alert at all times, stay away from crowded places, please dress and speak respectfully, BUT enjoy the ambience.
