Haven't flown AP but would like to if there is a next time. Found out you are allowed 30kg if you upgrade & that costs about $150 each way, well worth it. You also get checked on/off quicker. You are allowed 7kg hand luggage also, if you take a smallish back pack instead of handbag(assuming you are female) you can carry another 5kg. Another tip is to check the weight of the bags you are taking over, it is surprising how much they weigh empty. Take only minimum clothing & get them washed at the cheap laundrys in Bali. Practically all toiletries etc can be bought in Bali & left behind, take sunscreen from OZ as that is expensive there. It is a really good idea to put all your declared goods into one bag & keep a list of what you are going to declare. Customs are pretty good if you make it easy for them, their job is to keep our country safe & I support this.
