a doctor in bali told me that the main cause,is pinapple juice.When you order it,the kitchen uses the oldest ones they have(cause you can't see)they are already fermenting,going brown on the edges.Once inside you----Bingo you got the belly.I have never had bali belly because i listened,and every time someone is sick they tell me they had pinapple juoce that morning.Ice wont do it,its under gov control.but to much grog and too much sun will.the two dont go together.So get the sun early,and get pissed after dark.hope this helps.
