We stayed at the Bali Hai in April of this year. I am only giving MY honest opinion when i say that we were slightly disapointed with the place. It wasnt that it was anything in particular, but we felt that the place was looking a bit tired and in need of a refurbishment. I also felt that we were better suited to a smaller hotel as big hotels really lack the personal touch. We have only been to Bali twice and are returning in 5 weeks and will be staying at a few places including Santika, so maybe i do not have alot to compare it to, but the few things i can compare with Bali Hai and the Novotel Coralia, Tanjung are the personal touches like at night our bed was turned down with a 2 Frangapani's placed on the bed and a little card telling us what the weather and temo had been for the day, and what it was going to be for the following. Breakfast you could not even try to compare, i have heard many people rave about B Hai's breakfast, so maybe i was just really, really spoilt at the Novotel. Also things like the staff would see you come in after a day of shopping, offer to help you to your room or just simply take the time to see what adventure you had been upto for the day. If you have kids, then B Hai will be the one to chose over Santika, but for me i would like something that i don't feel Bali Hai gave us. I know aloy of you guys LOVE this place so please dont beat up on me, just saying how i feel. Goodluck and safe travels. When do you go ?
