To KPL and others who may be interested.
This is their website: www.balisorgawi.com
I was going to stay here in late October, but unfortunately have had to cancel my booking due to my hubby accepting an overseas job, and needing to start work too close to my return date. As we have a 16 year old at school here in Perth, I have had to forgo my proposed weeks holiday in Bali. :-( Hopefully, I will be able to go next year instead.
I corresponded directly with the hotel when I booked, and had very prompt responses to all my questions from both Rohman and Liana, hotel staff. Also, their written English was of a very high standard.
Their opening special prices are amazing: AUD$26 per room for a standard, AUD37 for a suite and AUD40 for a deluxe unit which is nearly twice the size of the std with a lounge area included.
I was offered my standard room either by the pool on the ground floor or on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the pool. Even the std rooms have aircon, tv, fridge and tea & coffee making facilities, the latter being almost unheard of in a budget type hotel.
Included in this price was a free airport pick up and a daily breakfast, which I thought was unbelievably good value! I'm so sad that I cannot go!
When I enquired about a deposit, I was advised that I could pay when I arrived, and they do accept credit cards or cash.
The photos on their website show that whilst the hotel is small with not a lot of garden or trees, it looks well appointed, and I would imagine that sheets, towels etc would all be in excellent condition. It even shows the room measurements.
Also, it is very conveniently located in a gang off Jl Legian, just along a little further south from the Kuta Lagoon Resort where I stayed last October.
I would be interested to hear from anyone who has already stayed here with their comments. My friend Judd is currently in Bali, and will post some info about the hotel after she has checked it out.
