It was very easy - just took measurements of window, chose the fabric over there, they had samples of curtain types (pinch pleat etc) in the shop so they knew what I meant and the fellow I dealt with spoke very good English.
We have floor to ceiling windows - I had curtains made for 10 (two windows are nearly 5 metres wide each) and all up, including lining - they were $400.00 for material and to be made up. What a bargain!
It took about 5 days so we arranged it right at the beginning of our trip.
