"The new fares just announced by Garuda now allow Australian's to enjoy their number one destination at 1980's prices. Garuda has reduced its minimum tour price ex Australia's East Coast to $AUS 699 for travel between 18 October and 01 December 1999 and between 17 January and 31 March 2000. That price is $AUS 200 below existing special prices and $AUS 300 below normal low season rates. Kids pay just $AUS 399 ($AUS 675 previously) and Garuda has raised the maximum age for children's fare to 16 year from the former limit of 12 years of age.
Some restrictions apply. Tickets for the February - March period at these special prices must be issued before a December deadline.
Major discounts are also available from Darwin and Perth on the national airline of Indonesia.
There's more. Australian travel agents are being offered a special industry rate to allow them the opportunity to experience the "Bali Welcome " for themselves.
