I would think price would be negotiable as always, a higher price for a driver with a nicer, newer vehicle and the proper licence for transporting tourists. Price will also depend on whether you want to go straight there, or meander along the way, and where your driver is from. As always, make sure you see the actual vehicle and driver before agreeing to a price. If you keep 300,000 rp in mind, consider the fuel price increase as well as how much time you want the driver for, you can work out what would be a ballpark acceptable price for you. I personally don't at all mind paying a bit more for a properly licenced driver (no stops by police) who can accompany us while sightseeing (guide licence required at many places), with a nice vehicle with seatbelts that work for everyone. Last year from Ubud to Lovina, a long and leisurely day with lots of stops along the way cost us 350,000 rp in a new Kijang with driver licenced to carry tourists and also as a guide. I expect to pay the same or a bit more this year to go to Amed.
