Of course not everyone living in extreme poverty will turn into a terrorist! And no of course all terrorists are not poor. The point is that poverty creates a breeding ground for anger and disatisfaction so here is a pool of youngsters containing more people who are more easily brainwashed in so called schools.
Not everyone who smokes gets lung cancer. Not everyone who drinks has liver failure. Its just that the odds increase.
No one as far as I can see thinks that all poor are likely to be brainwashed into terrorism, but the odd are radically different. It is not a level playing field.
