I haven't been to Bali but I have already had three fantastic business ideas that could be started by Balinese/Indonesians.
One tip I'd give to Indonesians looking to make a rupiah or thousand is to find out what really annoys travellers (a certain lack of facilities etc.) And then see if they can start a business that corrects that problem.
For example, one idea I have had since I just finished typing paragraph above is sort of ok, but will help you get the gist.
Why doesn't someone start a store, where they just fill it with fantastically clean toilets and then charge foreigners a small fee to use them? I know from reading this forum that a lot of people would pay money to get their butt on some clean ceramic bowls!
Just from reading posts on this and other forums I have been able to find gaping holes where people would gladly spend their money if given the opp.
(And no, I'm not gonna post the other ideas here.. Sorry people!!)
