I have been to Rockhampton for the past 4 days to visit my daughter who lives in the gemstone fields of Rubyvale. Wow, what an eye opener. My parents also flew with us and after a huge amount of organising we were able to get oxygen for the flight for Mum and a wheelchair to get her around in the airports. Mammoth overall task, but hugely successful and satisfying! My daughter did get a huge surprise to see her Gran and Gramps! (My parents were booked and paid for to go to Bali with us in August and had to cancel at the last minute as the doctor suggested an altitude test and Mum didnt pass very well! Too much risk!)
I am planning on returning to Bali next March, although not sure with whom (girls only is a healthy trip!) and I expect Trevor and I will return again next August. Unless nothing changes in the near future, those are the plans. Trevor and I always feel drawn to the lovely Balinese, their smiles, their humour, their attitude and we love the holiday lifestyle, the weather, casualness and company of fellow tourists.
