Our family visited the Franciscan Orphanage in August. It was one of the highlights of our trip.
The orphanage is only about 15kms from Legian.
Heaps of info on their website www.tukaorphanage.org
We took kids clothes and toys plus we bought supplies from Makro such as toothbrushes, soap, kids panadol bandaids and treats which were as cheaper than buying them in Aust also less luggage.
Next time I am going to ask friends if they would like to contribute to a cash donation and the kids classmates if they would like to help by donating a packet of pencils, colours or exercise books.
I also checked if any of the kids would be having a Birthday around the time we visited. You could maybe have something extra for them.
You will be overwhelmed by their humble charm. Enjoy
